The Best Day Ever

(Source)

I love this little packet that a bride and groom put together for their guests arriving the night before. Included are a wedding day schedule, a list of numbers in case you're lost/confused, some tips for the smilebooth, and a bride and groom mad lib sheet. Totally adorable, creative, and will definitely get the guests pumped for the big day!

PS- Do you follow us on twitter? Tell us what you think about this little packet!

Priorities

(Source)

As the winter comes to a close and the spring and summer wedding seasons approach, I'd like to take a moment to remind you to take a deep breath. Remember your priorities. Remember the reason why you're getting married. Remember what is important to you and your spouse-to-be. And above all, do things your way. It's your wedding, afterall. And in the end, while it is a wonderful, beautiful, fantastic day of celebration and love, it will be over before you know it and the marriage is what will emerge. So intend to make your marriage more beautiful than your wedding day. Cheers to that!

Eau de Escort Cards

(Source)

These delicious-smelling flowery escort cards are perfect for a garden-themed or spring wedding. Just get your hands on some individual stems of your favorite flower. Then pick up some complementary cardstock and twine and you can easily (really!) throw these understated escort cards together. They used sweet pea flowers in this photo but of course you could go with any flower that appeals to your scents-es (See what I did there?!).

Healthy Habits: Lentil Loaf with Maple Glaze

When I made the switch to vegetarian a few months ago, I was a little wary because, um, what would I eat? It turns out, there are a lot of options if you're willing to experiment in the kitchen. I found this lentil loaf recipe, and decided to give it a try. It was simple to make, and tasted great. For a bride getting ready for the big day (or bikini season, hello!) this is a great meal option because it'll keep you full for longer, is high in protein and low in fat. Happy eating!

Here Comes The Bride, All Dressed In... A Onesie?

(Source)

You gotta love the bride who says "I want to be comfortable!" but this is taking it to a whole new level! Kelly and Stuart Scott, from Rochdale, U.K., have the unique honor of being the first couple to tie the knot wearing "His" and "Hers" adult-sized onesies. The two were low on cash and said they decided to get married in their onesies because their "favorite time of day is when [they] are all snuggled up watching TV in [their] onesies." Can't argue with that!

It's Your Wedding, Do it Your Way

(Source)

Chef Amber Shea is the bomb dot com. I've been reading her site for ages because she is a classically trained chef whose speciality is healthful, plant-based foods. Besides being a kick-ass chef in the kitchen, she also was a bride who knew what she wanted and went for it. These are my favorite types of brides. It's your wedding, afterall, so do it your way!

For Chef Amber it was important to have an allergen-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free cake. So she made it happen. She took total creative design and came up with some interesting combos that blew her guests' minds. They were fluffy, delicious, and best of all, more healthy than the regular, run-of-the-mill cupcake- and while that may not be important to everyone, it was important to the bride, and that's what matters on the big day. Cheers to doing it your way!

It's Out With Sapphire, In With Emerald

Kate Middleton probably had a lot to do with blue sapphire rings becoming so on-trend in the last couple of years. For a while, it seemed royal blue was everywhere-- from engagement rings to saucy high heels to fingernails to the racks of your favorite store. And while we don't see this zesty color landing on the "don't" list anytime soon, it's time for it to move on over and make some room for this season's next big thing. Friends, meet your new BFF: emerald green. And if that's not enough, emerald green was voted Pantone's 2013 Color of the Year. That makes it official. Emerald green is here to stay! pop of color.
