Currently Coveting: Nars, Bobbi, Laura

Having a moment over here with these three beauty products- I just can't speak their praises enough! First up, Laura Mercier blush in City Pink. It adds just enough pop of color that you feel like the summer season gets a bit of an extension. Next up is the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. It's buildable and long lasting but breathable. I would say it's light to medium coverage, depending on how you apply it. And finally, Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara for the final touch. The wand is what makes it. Simple bristles that get the job done coating each lash from the root up. The mascara is long lasting and doesn't flake. Love all of these! Buy through Sephora.

Currently Coveting

Three things I am currently coveting that would make any bride-to-be happy:

MAC mascara in False Lashes. Quite possibly the perfect mascara. It enlongates the lashes, lasts forever, and doesn't clump. The best part is that the wand is tapered so you can really get in and coat the small inner lashes that are often missed with chunky wands.

Chanel perfume in Coco Mademoiselle. I can't get enough of this scent. It has basenotes in bourbon vanilla, patchuli, white musk and Haitian vetiver, middle notes in Italian jasmine, rose and litchi, and top notes in orange, bergamot and grapefruit. It is delicious!

Benefit blush in Coralista. If you're looking for just the right shade of coral, this is it. It is long-lasting, goes on easily, and bonus- it smells so good.

Product Review: Smashbox Primer

When I got married last year, my make up artist used this green primer on my face. I had never used a primer before in my life so for my first one to be the color of the Grinch, well, I was understandably freaked out.

"Don't be scared," she laughed as I wrinkled my nose and lifted my eyebrows in slight mistrust. "It doesn't go on green- it's just to counteract any redness so that in photos you will look flawless," she explained.

Well, she really knew what she was talking about- I ended up loving this primer! It is Smashbox's Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer. It is oil-free, and you put on a dime sized amount all over your face (or just any red areas, up to you) after you moisturize and before you put on foundation. It goes on smoothly, and makes your make up last all day and night.

Smashbox also makes a bronzing primer in this same collection, and I recently tried it out. For spring and summer months, this is a great primer. It gives you just a little bit of base color and you can wear it alone or under foundation. You can buy both here from Sephora.
