Fashion Week Recap Pt 1

Fashion week is taking place in NYC and designers are sending their spring/summer 2013 lines down the catwalks. We caught up on the looks and are excited to bring you some shots of what we think would work great for all the wedding events you've got going on from bridal showers to bachelorette parties.

Fashion Week Inspiration: Venexiana

This past weekend, Jetting to the Wedding attended the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. The Venexiana fall '11 runway show stood out to us as something that brides-to-be would love to check out. 

Backstage, we saw the models getting their hair and make up done, and we have to say that we love the funky take on the traditional French twist. Tela Organics, who provided the hair stylists and products, filled us in on the up-do, saying they loved capping off the French twist with a bun, as seen here. 

The final two numbers of the show designed by Kati Stern would be perfection for brides looking to wear an over-the-top gown for their walk down the aisle. 

We love the sparkly head piece paired with super large chandelier earrings- it is glamour in its truest form. Perfect for the bride who is all about the glitz!
